It’s gross and so dehumanizing. How is that even a compliment?

people are determined to make apathy the only outlook on life. The more I age, the easier it is to see ending up with 5 dogs as utterly acceptable

When my ex called off our wedding out of the blue to me, he went on a downward spiral. He lost his shit at a friend’s wedding. He turned into an asshole to women at work. He tried to date a 20 year old when he was in his 40s.

It’s super condescending and offensive. Like she is simply overreacting. And almost implying she’s the unprofessional one.

Total gaslighting. And it’s offensive, like she isn’t a professional actor herself, who knows what to expect on a set.

These men can FUCK OFF!

Right, when she says “no one has ever yelled at me like that”, how the fuck can they just listen to that? And keep rolling along?

Ugh. Fuck all of them seriously. And it bothers me knowing they think they’re some of the good ones.

Exactly. To me it read like gaslighting.

they can just go fuck themselves. the show isn’t even that funny. also i perused the article (will not read thoroughly cuz again, fuck them) and the most reasonable quote is from Alia Shawkat who is only quoted twice in the whole damn circle jerk of a “conversation”:

I am SO glad they included the audio in the NYT article. People need to HEAR how the men in the room COMPLETELY disregarded everything she had to say about it

I think this interview will feel very familiar to any women that wants people to know what happened to them was not okay, but also feel pressured to go along to get along.

“Let me just say one thing that I just realized in this conversation...

Jessica Walter is a gift and she shouldn’t have to deal with this. How is it that she’s stating that she has NEVER been yelled at like that throughout her career, and everyone is blowing past it??

No, Jessica, you don’t have to be friends with him! God I could cry.

Bateman: “not to belittle it, not to excuse it”

I really want to hear more about Alia Shawkat on this. She’s in the Transparent cast. She’s in the Arrested Development cast. She’s a queer woman. She has a unique POV on the situation. I wish the interviewer had called that out and asked. I hope we do get to hear from her about it at some point.

It will be amazing if Jessica Walters threatens to leave the show! they are literally telling her how she should feel when this obviously awful guy who was kicked out of another show yelled at her. Let’s all admit, that show wouldn’t be half as funny if Jessica Walters left.
