I'm so glad that they didn't do the trope of ending the episode not knowing who got shot. It's been done to death (pun intended) and it's so obviously never the main(er) character. Or if it is them they pull through in the first episode.

To be honest this Cyrus thing makes sense BECAUSE it doesn't makes sense. Seriously everyone in the show can't just go the easy route, they have to make it impossibly complicated. Hell, I wouldn't put it passed a character shooting themselves in the foot before entering a room because simply walking through the door

Ahh Susan Ross as the mastermind would have been AMAZING. I'm actually really sad now that it wasn't the case.

I'm really sad to see Jerrika go. Stephanie had some of the best character development and Jerrika is such a brilliant actor. The whole scene(s) of Stephanie try to get the girl up to the roof and then calling for help. Her screams were actually gutting when she thought she wouldn't be able to save her.

I definitely weeped a bit at the thought of ever actually using hand sanitizer as lube. The burn would be terrible and I imagine it would cause some serious alcohol poisoning too. Like the vodka tampon fad on steroids! Not to mention I bet it wouldn't be too safe on the condoms either. The alcohol could break down the

Can't tell if the nostalgia lovehate of the Word Paper Clip from episode 9 makes me want to up or lower my review rating.

Right? I was kinda surprised they never fully addressed this. I feel like they subtly hinted at this when she made a comment once about how she kinda wishes he could see her now and how she raised Ziggy so well all on her own, but never left time in the finale to actually explain that that's why they moved to Otter

Yeah. They were both sleeping with Amabelle's nanny. I don't think they ever actually said who the other dad was. But in the book they got in a physical fight over it at trivia night and it spilled out on the the balcony right after Perry was pushed, causing Madeline to break her arm, or collar bone and I think Jane

In the novel Jane does explain that she moved there because she knew that was where "Saxon" lived. That when they were in the hotel together she saw a brochure and when she commented on it he said he was looking to move there. So while befriending his wife might have been a bit of a stretch, her whole reasoning to

Yes! Oh poor Tom. I wasn't sure if they were going to do the Tom and Jane coupling or if they would just skip over it like they did with Gordon and the other dad having an affair with Renata's nanny.

Yes! I can't say I've ever cheered at a murder mystery reveal before. I remember reading the book and thinking that if it wasn't Perry who died I would be furious.

The way he said it while testing the wiggle of Max's loose tooth, the look in Nicole Kidman's eyes. I don't think they could have set up that moment any better. For as much a Celeste was adamant he wouldn't touch the kids I half expected Perry to pull the tooth in that moment.
I really have to give it to both actors.

You'd be surprised. 5 years can make a big difference. Plus, back when she was Veeing for Deluca she talked about how she had never had any real serious boyfriends because she was studying ahead of her age she didn't wasn't able to connect with her age appropriate peers, and with her older peers, she had a hard time

Honestly I always half expected his character to turn out to be a segway into a Dexter-like character subplot. Like one of their season long serial killer characters turned out to be him. I think it was the doll house saga that I had half a mind it was him.

I feel like the thing with Maggie is that she is so much younger than the others and while they addressed this when introducing her character, there is no reminder through out, AND she has just has much power/privilege so it can be easy to forgotten as she is treated as an equal to people that have a decade or so on

I know but I always hope, maybe this time they will really mean it. :(

Haha yes! So true.

Remember when they said this season was going to center around the originals? No? Yeah neither do the writers apparently..

Am I the only one that said "Of course Eric Roberts plays Jackson's father?" I swear if it wasn't him it would have to be Peter Gallagher. Those two capitalize on the "silver fox-ish dead beat dad" role.

Agreed! After everythinh they put Bonnie through having her a) survive, and b) finally get out of Mystic Falls makes me so happy!
