Adding to Shaun Connor’s comment, the book had also way more stuff going on than the movie and in a good way so it’s actually more suited for a tv-show than it is for a movie. They could easily make a season from every book in the saga and I wish they would.

I agree with you with most things but Affleck absence (both of them) is a huge plus. Although Gone Baby Gone is a great movie, and by far the best Affleck as ever done, he butchered Live by Night so I’m very glad someone is taking a stab at this and make it into a show.
