Well... professional model maker chiming in here. Some of these models can be mind blowing. Like are you fucking kidding me. I make models professionally, for comercial clients and some of the high-end models from Amalgam etc are absolutely worth tens of thousands. I couldn’t make one and charge less than 50k.

I have a $2500 pc I built in 2014, with 16 gigs of ram, 4gb gtx770, and a logitech g27 wheel. A little tweaking of the graphics settings and its TOTALLY acceptable. Its probably a $300 pc on the used market nowadays, if that.
