That's what makes the difference. Those with the power and money to get a movie made don't want anything to spoil their chances. So if someone comes out publicly he'll just magically vanish from the short list of names considered for stars of A-list projects. There are so many others in contention.

Two songs per episode is absolutely the norm. If any episode had more, it would be a quickie like "I Have Friends" or a reprise.
The line about Amazon Prime was completely unproblematic for me, because it is literally what my friends have said many times: it's like a fairy-tale wish has come true, I can think of nearly anything and it'll show up at my door in 2 days.
Actually, one episode title last season ended with a question mark. That decision must have been good for a full hour's debate in the writers' room.
