It's actually somewhere between the fourth and eight biggest shopping day of the year.

Interestingly enough, the "in the black" thing is an urban legend. According to the Chicago Tribune, the term was coined by the Philly police to describe the behavior of the shoppers! It was first used in print in "an advertisement in the January, 1966 American Philatelist." And the Philly police are used to some

I see what you mean. I basically pretend everyone is always in their 20s. This is the only way, for example, that I can watch Gossip Girl without it driving me crazy (Why are you in a bar? You are 14!). I pretend they are in college instead of high school.

That is a perfect description. I'm not sure I could pull it off myself (KS has a pretty awesome body), but I like that it is a little different.

Damages for fanfiction? I don't think a $1 in nominal damages would really be worth pursuing. The only way they could get a lot from her is if she did it in her published novels, which I don't believe she has. Not to mention she has removed her old fanfiction from online anyway, and I don't think most of the authors

Not that it isn't a good idea though!

Those are illegal now. (In the sense that Congress has regulated the crap out of gift cards, and providers aren't allowed to do the second two things you mentioned)

What if he has leather pants? Can you resist LEATHERTROUSERS!Draco?

Fanon Draco Malfoy is pretty cool. Maybe he'll even have leather pants!

To clarify, she did have a "name the quotes" game as I understand it. What I was talking about were the passages she more or less lifted wholesale from other authors that weren't acknowledged as not her own words/ideas until after she was accused of plagiarizing.

That listings were added after she got called out for it. The reason someone reported her to fanfiction.net and they bounced her was because she didn't make her "borrowing" clearly known until after she got caught.

I swear this expression says "Oops. I meant to stink bomb my costars, but I accidentally sharted." I don't know why. There is something wrong with me. But it's making me laugh.

I like that dress. It is kind of weird looking, but in a pretty way.

Thank you for enabling me :). I can haz rashionalizashun!

Wow. I can't even think of a response other than wow. Brodudes be crazy, y'all.

I typed out a longer response to RobinEM, but the short version is I'm always going to side-eye someone who is willing to plagiarize other authors, even if she doesn't do it in her published work.

Eh, I suppose she is, but it doesn't seem to have hurt her career much if any. I assume she is making a nice chunk of change from selling the film rights to her series.

Before she published this series, she was a fandom writer, primarily HP and I think she also had a popular Lord of the Rings story. She was really famous for a series of stories called the Draco Trilogy, and her name then was Cassandra Claire.

Is Jace the one who's basically (fanon) Draco Malfoy? Cause if so, good casting on that one Hollywood.
