I think that the government managed to convince businesses by telling them that they will pay them for x for their current product, 5x if they build a military product, and by the way if they don’t, there won’t be anyone to buy your current product. Therefore, industry pretty much willingly transformed itself to

Cheap iPhones? Apple can probably still make a profit even with increased manufacturing costs from moving to US production.

How do you know? Suspicious...

On the bright side, more minimum wage jobs were created. (Sarcasm font)

Not really. Most GA piston twins spin in the same direction, which is why the so called “critical engine” is an issue.

There are actual specially built EFB (Electronic Flight Bag) available. I don’t think they sell well due to the iPad, such as SolidFX ones.

The Middle East is one of those places where their culture and history is not conducive to democracy. On the other hand, Europe was conducive to democracies and that is what developed there. We keep trying to force democracy in places where it cannot flourish and cause more problems than we are solving in the process.

Skunk works designed the X35, which was a successful test vehicle that met it's goals :supersonic vtol stealth aircraft. The X35 had no weapons systems and a standard fighter cockpit. Things went wrong when the rest of Lockheed took the design and militarized it, along with the crap that normally comes with it and

Wasn't there an engineer who was deep in the black programs that said we have stuff 50 years more advanced than anything we can think of?

I think the A350's approach is good, carbon fiber panels on an aluminum frame. You don't save as much weight as 787 but repairs are easy, unscrew damaged panels and screw in new ones.

They call the F35 low cost. Compared to what? B2?
