You know what I’m so over? Taylor stans who spill out paragraphs of indignation at anything that might possibly, maybe, be construed as the smallest slight.

“disappointed with Colin’s actions and believes he turned a legitimate workout into a publicity stunt.” said Jay-Z while wearing a MAGA hat.

... NFL was trying to parlay the waiver into a release of any claims for collusion/retaliation that Kaepernick could make as a result of his ongoing unemployment by the league since settling his first collusion case in February…

For pete’s sake, everyone. THOSE ARE NOT YAMS. They are sweet potatoes. Some food company called orange sweet potatoes “yams” as a marketing ploy decades ago. They were not yams then and they are not yams now. Yams are tough, fibrous tubers that are definitely not orange.

It’s disgusting.

I know but it was still a lot to me. 12 grams in one cup?!

Counterpoint: Seems like more and more people have issues with dairy. Maybe we are not the omnivores we think we are.

65% of the world’s population is lactose intolerant. The ability to injest lactose is not even close to universal.

As a Canadian I am envious of your farming system. The Canadian Dairy Cartel (Poultry is also supply managed) has us by the balls. We pay massive mark ups at the store to support about 20,000 dairy farmers the VAST majority of which are millionaires of which 90% are located in Quebec, which is further subsidized to

Wal-Mart was Dean’s biggest customer. Then Wal-Mart started selling their own brand of milk.

Also, soft drink sales have been declining for years but you don’t see Coke or Pepsi declaring bankruptcy. Instead, they just tricked everyone into buying energy drinks and colored water. You gotta pivot, Dean!

This is the real story: In the US, farmers tried to independently produce their way out of a price drop. Basic economics dictates that a non-demand driven raise in supply predictably further lowers prices. Rinse, repeat, rinse, repeat. In Canada (socialism, gasp!) protects farmers through a dairy quota system that

The blog post is misleading. Dean Foods has declared chapter 11 bankruptcy. It is not closing its doors. It is getting relief from it’s creditors while it restructures. Then it will pay some portion of it’s debts back. One group of creditors is the unfunded portion of it’s pension plan.

Even with the decline, the only way this makes sense is that Dean was bad at business, because it hasn’t declined that much. Damn. How bad you gotta be to fail in the milk business?

Don't blame such a useful liquid because milk is too spicy for your baby tummy.

I like milk. Also, there’s some reason to believe I’m more of a psychopath. The theory has been put forth by a couple of actual doctors over the years.

Marion Nestle, a food studies professor at New York University”

Weirdly, I think that’s part of the appeal of racism to begin with. This Nosferatu-looking shitgoblin wouldn’t need to cling to membership in a fictional “master race” if he had literally anything else going on for himself.

I think this is the bigger issue. A lot of media outlets are just...shrugging...at this bullshit, and have utterly normalised it for many of their readers to the point that it's impossible to ignite any outrage over it.

I have yet to see one of these “master race” guys who look anywhere fucking close to my conception of an ideal human being. I mean if Liz Hurley claimed to be part of a genetically elite super race I’d be like “That sounds about right”.
