Sam, not yet a glint in the Gaffer’s balls, inspired Bilbo to leave the Shire by being the existential dread of children tying you down to one place.

I actually can’t tell if this is great, right-up-to-the-line sarcasm, or a tiny window into the mind of a deranged soul.  Congratulations, either way.

Ah yes! Let us gather around the fire and hear tell of Sam’s meaty role in The Hobbit.

...uh, what?

If someone was going to ruin Endgame, I’d have guessed Andy Reid.

Sharks fan here. In the moment, I major/misconduct was excessive. At worst, I thought it would a double minor. But to say the league stole it from Vegas is just as much bullshit as the call itself. Don't suck to historic levels on the PK and the story is a footnote.

Vegas reached out to their fans and apologized for their PK. They also said it would not be playing in the next round.

Nobody is better at stopping Russel Westbrook than himself.

We all are with Russ...watching the rest of the playoffs on TV.

They were terrible in the early oughts, indeed, then Sheikh Mansour bought the team in 2008 and started pumping ungodly amounts of oil money into the annual transfer budgets. Apparently that works to get pretty good pretty fast if you buy the right players.

32W/4D/2L > 26W/12D/0L --- there’s a reason they give more points for wins.

City and Liverpool already have more wins this season than Arsenal had that season and would have to lose their last three games by a combined 20 and 12 goals respectively to finish with fewer points and the same goal differential.

Pep might be dispelling the myth that you can’t be perfect in the Premier League, but it’s not coming at the expense of the idea that the Premier League is different.

The problem with the comparison is that having one of the greatest players ever on your team is generally way more impactful in basketball than baseball.

I mean, in a traditional sense, he’s not. He’s just an average player with a long career.

Wow! Neat stuff, this is inspiring to me as someone who does not feel secure/fulfilled by their job.

i think he's not played for the "right" teams to get the votes anderson and gillies did. if he had become the game seven man with the flyers it's an easy vote yes. i guess it remains to be seen how old-timers see the circa 2010 kings but i would lean towards not getting in.

Dear Connecticut,

Bless your heart. We’re not giving them back.

Sincerely,

when Bret Stephens steals this headline for his upcoming column on “loving climate change to trigger the libs” I hope you sue his ass
