I kind of hoped the different seasons of True Detective would feature different casts, different stories, but it would all revolve around one giant criminal conspiracy. We'd get to see different sides of it and come to see how big it is, but the characters would never really know.

I agree. The idea of a streaming service run by artists is brilliant. It's a pretty ideal thing.

I don't really think he cares too much about you not paying for a service you don't want. He's more addressing people who 1) complain about tidal being expensive when its got ultra-high quality, and 2) people justifying stealing music because they are rich enough. Which is pretty ludicrous.
