(After reading most of the other comments) I guess I'm the only PRONG fan here?  In that I have all their albums on my ipod, listen to them weekly,  and put their new album on my Top 10 list for last year?  I guess I should be used to the loneliness by now.

Nuts to this.  RIP Clive Burr \m/ \m/

PBS used to run The Two Fat Ladies.  It was right before the UK reinvented its food reputation, but it's nice to have evidence on film that at one point UK food was pretty much all potatoes and boiled (gah!) bacon.

#2 is The Muppets
#1 is Bad News (a.k.a. the 3/4 of The Young Ones) (they actually got Brian May to do the terrible guitar solo!).

Any band that names themselves after a MELVINS song is alright in my book.  I saw them play with Sunn O))) once, and it was an incredible show.  The stage was a beautiful wall of amps.  I'm surprised my fillings didn't come out, it was so loud.

[Crap, I was just "that guy" wasn't I?  The who who shits on things in comment sections.  Don't be like me. Don't be "that guy".]

Whenever I see a picture of Tegan and Sara with their flat affect and emotionless expressions, I can't help but think: "The Kristen Stewarts of music".  I can't really comment on their music, as I've only heard one song by them and it did not inspire me to actively search for more.   The one song I did hear (the

I just saw a movie last weekend called "Suck" (not to be confused with "Vampires Suck").  It was, by no means, great; but it was a pleasant watch.  It's about a touring rock band that starts to get famous after the bass player is turned into a vampire (and has amazing cameos).

I can think of two break-up where the bands were doing pretty well and decided to call it quits:
Soundgarden
Faith No More

I liked The Mars Volta, but will always blame the At The Drive-In breakup for forcing Grand Royal to go into bankruptcy.

I brought a friend with me to see "Army of Darkness" opening weekend and the theater was packed.  My buddy had never seen an "Evil Dead" film, so when the credits came up and said "Bruce Campbell vs…." and the entire audience erupted in a rapturous cheer, my friend turned to me and said "Who the hell is that?".

Come now.  You know that no Bad Religion song will make your life complete.  Now, go watch a Madonna video and get ideas from her nasty clothes.

Yes to all of these.  And maybe I missed it, but I don't see a mention of the movie that overshadowed "Near Dark", "The Lost Boys".  I love me a movie with "death by stereo".  Chan-wook Park's (OldBoy) movie "Thirst" was a fantastic take on the genre (a priest becomes a vampire).  If you count "Lair of the White

The soundtrack was the a perfect moment of pre-grunge indie music:
The Pixies
Henry Rollins (with Bad Brains)
Sonic Youth
Peter Murphy
Concrete Blonde
and a very early Soundgarden (singing one of my favorite songs by them).

@avclub-d7f43e1fb2d4977c86163d9b0cb07814:disqus : around the time Futurama started, Groening and David X. Cohen checked out of the Simpsons (and episode quality declined).  (*see also, the death of Phil Hartman as a marker for when episode quality began to diminish.)

I have not supported Ozzy projects since:
a) his wife arranged to have people throw eggs at Iron Maiden and interrupt the PA at a show I was at and
b) he replaced Daisley and Kerslake on the recordings of "Blizzard of Oz" and "Diary of a Madman" (and didn't even label the albums when he did it).  Apparently their

I'm not sure that I'd call Mike Bordin a "cookie-cutter metal drummer", being that Faith No More was one of the least cookie-cutter bands of their time* (*the fact that they were copied and bastardized incessantly is not their fault).
