Gotta disagree on Lucas’ dad - that scene struck me as closer to jovial than anything.

It’s funny as most criticisms directed at the show have been that while entertaining, it leans to heavily on 80s’ tropes and retread homages, while not trying something outside that formula. I don’t agree much with that analysis but I understand it.

I can’t think of another reason why they keep have her go down there. At first I thought she might meet someone and then the show would have someone else for her to talk to outside of the office, since her partner doesn’t seem interested in her current work, but so far nothing.
