Until last year, it was a 3-way tie at 13 times each with Nine Inch Nails and Bad Religion. But, after last year's "Flood" tour, I've now seen They Might Be Giants 14 times and I've loved ever. single. one. of them.

I can't imagine any answer other than Transmetropolitan. The only thing we didn't see was Joseph Heller actually winning the thing.

Looking at the past success stories: Danny Elfman, Clint Mansell, Trent Reznor, Mark Motherbaugh…can't say I see much of a pattern there. I think I'll go with the man with the deepest knowledge of pop music: A.C. Newman.

And hey, the guy from Pop Will Eat Itself might do a passable job of it.
