Can someone that has the phone and can replicate the problem tell me if the tape, or contact paper trick does anything? It'd be a simple and cheap alternative to an ugly and expensive case. What about a small piece of electrical tape? Thanks

I need this! I hope you can categorize quests. Like doing hw or an exam boosts inteligence, going to work boosts wealth, gym boosts charisma and agility etc.

@uncle_jojo: Seriously, i haven't upgraded my phone since 2004, and i'm finally ready to get a smart phone. I figure after all these years i might as well wait for the white one that i really like the looks of. I have an arduino board and other nerdy things ready to start messing with through the iphone and the wait

I am surprised that page size/word size did not come in as a factor in this study. For most people that read regularly, our eyes don't read every word but read lines or paragraphs to understand the meaning.... I guess this is hard to describe but what I'm trying to say is think about how much faster you can read in

@JohnnyricoMC: Just to play devil's advocate... the problem is that the human body conducts electricity right? Putting an insulator like a rubber case around the phone fixes it. Therefore, (and I don't know this to be true) perhaps touching the problem spot changes the length of the antenna. Your body isn't just

@SkelatorDan: Supposed to be more iPhone users. When it falls into the water and everyone goes crazy and fights over it, that in an analogy to the iPhone on ebay.

Sorry, wrong reply/post. Please delete!

I wonder what Snoop Dogg would have to say about this, or if he's already on to the next thing

@NVJar: There is an inappropriate sexual inneundo joke in there but i'm going to let it slide... point taken

I think this would be a win win for everyone. AT&T's network has been taken a beating that exceeds their ability to improve speeds ever since iPhone first launched.

@AlphaJarmel: Agreed, i am still waiting to get a white one. My current phone is from 2004 so I feel like i need to get the 32 gig given the HD video recording and length of time i use my phones haha. I wish there was a way to buy the 16 gig and swap out the HDD for a bigger one like you could with the iPod mini.

I still haven't upgraded or been online so as to keep my linux installation : (

@sammanzhi: I don't think that is possible with the gizmodo staff

@CloneMe: WOW great observation! I didn't think anyone was able to get a white iphone 4 on launch day!

@MrTripps: Its not just a phone! Its a way of life... a way to sit in a starbucks take it out and think to yourself... "people care about what i write on facebook/twitter and dammit they LIKE me!" Seriously imagine trying to have that attitude and smugness with another phone, geez man get it together!

The true problem are the content creators not the consumers. Prior to widespread adoption of televisions movies were shot on 32 mm film which is the 4:3 ratio.

what is the file size of your imovie project and file size of 720p video? I know the desktop imovie projects can get really big because it renders all the frames for quick splits, joins etc

@bagellord: lol wow that does suck! Should have read a little more thoroughly! Even still, he'll live. AT&T is a mess... which is only applified by them changing all their rules willy nilly to sell more iphones and tie people up in contracts.

I haven't upgraded with AT&T since 2004. iPhone 4 finally hits the all my purchase criteria and i'm ready to buy... but can't because i had a business code on my account which blocked iPhone 4 (known error) and by the time they fixed it all the pre orders were sold... in part because ATT seemed to let anyone upgrade

Giz, it'd be great to also ask for video file size as well as imovie (is that app out now?) file size. I know imovie files can get HUGE in OSX, coupled with 720p video... might be a good case to go with the 32 gig version.
