Get an ebike. Simple, cheap(ish) and you can use bike lanes etc. My 1/2 hour 10km bike commute is 5-10 faster on an ebike, plus I don’t get as sweaty.

The Rockies (and Kootenay’s) have some amazing drives! Vancouver, not so much. More like TO driving. Stop and Stop more...
