Don’t forget uninsured/under-insured coverage if you are in a state like Oklahoma where 26% of cars are uninsured. Get the maximum you can afford or your company offers. That coverage will save your butt if you end up getting hit by someone who feels their monthly cell phone plan is more important than insurance.

Sorry, but daily driving my project car has made me realize how much I hate daily driving it. If I ever got around to figuring out the check engine light, it still wouldn’t change my opinion of it. If anything, daily driving it makes me less inclined to fix it because fixing it would mean I may not have to replace it

Jason, your proposal requires effort to implement. I’ll stick to the tried and true;

Sets adaptive cruise to 160 MPH and pulls out behind the fastest guy on the track. What can go wrong?

As soon as I heard they were developing their own engine, I figured the whole project would fail. It takes car companies almost a decade to go from concept to production on an all new engine. Years of testing and design refinements are too much for a start-up like Elio to finance without a product being sold to pay

I wish my Outback was a Baja. That way I could sell it for $10k instead of $3k.

Try taking 412 through the Oklahoma Panhandle. I took I-70 on the way back so I would at least have something to look at... other bored people on the road.

The people pushing mini-vans and large SUVs just want you to share in their misery. My sister and I were raised with a Honda CRX and a Renault Alliance as the family vehicles. Space was never in issue.

That’s what I was expecting also. However, it appears it will use the same system as the Focus RS. It’s the Twinster system made by GKN. Not sure if it will be Subaru good, but it appears to be better than the AWD systems found in most cars and car based SUVs that only send a mouse fart worth of torque to the

I agree. Buick just messed up my car shopping plans. I WAS leaning towards a new Outback over the Alltrack. If this sexy beast of a wagon checks all the required boxes (ground clearance, elevated air intake and a capable AWD system), the choice will be a lot harder.

Try telling that to an ultra-marathoner. 100 miles is well within running distance.

The company I work for built hybrid school buses back in 2008. It used a motor/generator mounted in the middle of the driveline. The company that designed the hybrid system failed and was no longer able to support the buses in the field. I believe some of the buses had the hybrid components removed due to service

Diesel because it is less flammable than gasoline.

You mean it isn’t normal for a car to sound like a tractor?

Neutral: I think he will only succeed with eliminating/rolling back CAFE. Best he can hope to do with emissions is freeze the US standards where they are today or delay the next round or stricter emissions.

I used to be like you. Third time I got hit by a car, I decided to join the cage drivers.

You speak the truth! You NEED more stars!

What kind of tires were on the police car? If your officer was rolling on summer tires or worn all seasons, he may have had a completely different perception of the conditions.

That’s around $400 markup, including labor! There are some very nice brake light flasher modules out there for under $40.

What state? In Oklahoma, crossing a single white line is only considered hazardous, not illegal. I avoid lane changes on solid whites because of the inherent danger. I looked this up about a year ago because we have a rotary in Tulsa that has a lot of solid white lines in it. I had a near miss from someone trying
