I saw $4500 and literally gagged. This used car market is sooo far out of whack. This has been a $500-800 car if its running for 25 years, and was destined for scrap yard if it didn’t run.  I bought and sold one similar to this in the early 90's for around $1000 but was in much better condition.  

I disagree, I think its gotten worse. Also, yes this isn’t the New York Times, however the writers here are paid to do a job and post these articles - they aren’t volunteers. So take 2 extra minutes and re-read what you wrote, read it out loud to see if it makes sense before you post, that’s all it would take to catch…

I’m guessing the guy used identity theft or straw buyers to “purchase” the vehicles and planned to load them on containers and export them just hadn’t gotten them out yet.  Although dirty from sitting in the yard they are all obviously new and were acquired for a reason.
