I saw $4500 and literally gagged. This used car market is sooo far out of whack. This has been a $500-800 car if its running for 25 years, and was destined for scrap yard if it didn’t run.  I bought and sold one similar to this in the early 90's for around $1000 but was in much better condition.

I disagree, I think its gotten worse. Also, yes this isn’t the New York Times, however the writers here are paid to do a job and post these articles - they aren’t volunteers. So take 2 extra minutes and re-read what you wrote, read it out loud to see if it makes sense before you post, that’s all it would take to catch

Just awful. I love having to reread something 3 times to figure out what it was actually supposed to say.
RIP jalopnik

Good point on teams not being able to sell or even give stuff away at some venues and events.  I’ve ran across that with my work, we sponsor some teams where we’ve had t-shirts or hats to give-away at rider signings and ran into that issue.  Ridiculous.  Everyone has their hand out in racing wanting their cut of the

I agree that availability of some teams stuff isn’t great, and Suzuki has done a pretty terrible job in marketing on almost everything they do for a long time. For the money that it costs to be in GP racing you’d think they would try to monetize that with marketing their brand and riders.

Not being a big Suzuki guy, my

There is clearly much more to this story. I’m guessing the guy used identity theft or straw buyers to “purchase” the vehicles and planned to load them on containers and export them just hadn’t gotten them out yet.  Although dirty from sitting in the yard they are all obviously new and were acquired for a reason.

Weirdest? Someone actually completely filling their tank in the past week without a pained expression on their face at how much it costs.

Being more of a dirt biker I always thought the same, and still do for certain riding environments - trail riding in woods and tight mountain trails I think is more fun on a dirt bike. But now that I’ve had a chance to ride a modern side by side in big sand dunes I have to say they are pretty hard to beat there. Yes a

Great write-up, these machines are amazing.
I had ridden side by sides on trails and in woods, etc. a few times and always got done and thought they were ok but I’d rather be on a 2-wheeled dirt bike.

This year I got a chance to ride a 2021 Maverick Turbo and also a 2021 Polaris RZR Turbo in big sand dunes and it

That was a fantastic race and incredible win for that team.  Great start to the MotoGP season, I hope the rest of this season is as exciting.

Counting cars is pretty irritating for sure.
Pimp my ride was really an awful show, but I still watched it back in the day, so probably can’t say its the worst.
Personally I like the NA version of Top Gear, its not as good as the original of course, but its still a good show.

The one I can’t watch are “street” drag

You know  a lot of drug dealers?

You are ignoring the fact that the wheels/tires/stickers give evidence to what kind of person likely owned the car and how it was treated, driven and maintained.  It has nothing to do with the model itself.  You’d just want to find an example that was likely better cared for.

Exactly, not the car’s fault, but the sellers fault, ND.

Not murdered, I’d say that’s a win!

My dad.
He has no inner dialog at all - whatever he is thinking just instantly comes out of his mouth and never stops. Like reading out loud every billboard. Saying every state license plate. Noting every dead animal on side of road. Reading out loud how many miles to the next town from the sign that we can both see,

That list of stuff that employee went through in a day gives me an anxiety attack. I don’t know how anyone can work in a customer facing role like that. I waited tables when I was in school and it made me start to hate people because of that kind of stuff.  Definitely makes me appreciate those that have to put up with

NP, I’d pay $15k for that, if I didn’t have to go to Brooklyn to get it.

That’s a great idea, giving them a discount like that for the next year would ensure that most would actually come back despite the bad taste in their mouth from this event, the organizers would still be able to cover their costs for this years “race”, and if they get the 50% payment now for next years race that gives

Saw it was Saab, didn’t read, automatic no dice for me. Not sure exactly why, but have always had an irrational hatred for Saab.
Only Saab I’d consider was the rebadged Subaru WRX version.
