I see most BMW drivers wanting to stick out with their poor driving and complete disregard for anyone else or any semblance of even pretending to obey traffic laws.  So this horrible new design is perfect, makes it even easier to spot them and avoid them.

I think Marquez is of course great, but having him out made this the most exciting season in years.
Its been fun wondering who would come out on top each week and seeing so many different riders have success at different points of the season.
Who would have thought the beginning of the season you’d have Suzuki winning

When I was in my early 20's I drove a delivery van for an overnight service in a mid size city. Even the farthest routes from our DC were only 15-20 miles away and on the route in a normal shift you’d maybe put on 25-30 miles. We had 50+ delivery vans plus 2 other DC’s in the area around the same. So for urban areas

Michael Czysz was a mad genius.  He was a guest instructor at a racing school I attended at Laguna Seca, he was really fascinating and had some awesome ideas and aspirations.  He would sketch out the technical and scientific reasons behind lean angles and body positioning and weight transfer, etc. when explaining how

I owned an 84 MB diesel, it wasn’t that bad. It didn’t stink and wasn’t covered in soot. It sucked to get started in the cold but otherwise it wasn’t a bad car to drive considering the age of it. The only work I did to it in 2 years was a new battery and an oil change, I gave to a broke friend who drove it for over ano

The wheels are awful, I’d pull them off and take whatever I could get for them on craigslist first thing.  But with a day or so of de-douching, swap the wheel back to stock, peel off the Roush windshield sticker and rocker panel decals, etc. it wouldn’t be that bad of a truck.

I agree with that, but I think car manufacturers could also help with this and have some better or more consistent use of materials and coatings used in building the cars that would better resist this. The salt is bad for all cars obviously, but on some makes you see drastically worse rust problems over a given time

Absolutely.  Convenient the owner was skiing in France when it happened.  Plausible deniability.  I’d like to know what insurance paid out on it.

I always thought that too, but I think its almost a badge of honor for a rich person to drive a vehicle that is a notorious piece of crap reliability wise (I’m looking at you Range Rover!), its like saying I’m so rich that I don’t care that this car will cost more per year to fix than its worth in 6 years, as I won’t

Yep me too, got to side with the corporate overlords this time. I like Hyundai, Genesis and also Kia cars, they are putting out some great stuff right now and I seriously looked at them for my last purchase, but the dealers were so awful anywhere within 50 miles of (which in the area I live in, is a lot of dealers)

Stock is no fun. Next project drive it back over to the inland empire and have Bisimoto do some crazy twin turbo conversion on it.  That would make a fun article!

Good article, I look forward to reading more about the road trip, that’s a lot of miles so you definitely got to know the bike!
I’ve had a chance to ride most all of the current Ducati’s and the Diavel was actually the one I liked the best, and when I was offered to take any bike home for a few days as a loaner while

That’s a pretty good point. Who would have ever thought 10-15 years ago that Kia would actually make cars people would actually want to drive? There are a lot of compelling vehicles out there.

The new stuff coming out seems somewhat better to me. I was a huge Acura fan and owned a few of them in the 90's and they definitely lost their way after that where the cars weren’t very interesting. But personally I like the direction they seem to be trying to get to. I’m ok with it being a sportier and slightly more

I’m hoping the result for F1 will be like Moto GP is this year for motorcycle racing. With Marc Marquez out there have been 7 different winners, 15 different riders on the podium, and all but one of the manufacturers have bikes capable of winning.
Parity makes it so much more exciting, this year has been the most fun

I’m surprised a movie studio hasn’t jumped on this. For that price would be a great car to put into the warehouse at a studio to use for period films.

I have no idea actual value on these but certainly seems to be very reasonable for an unrestored car that old and in that condition.  If I had unlimited space to store

I can’t even read a single reply because of the crap way the ads are placed on the page now, congrats Jalopnik for driving away another person.

I’d say unpopular opinion is correct. His articles about his Range Rover and year of owning a cheap Ferrari were fantastic.  His videos on the other hand could sometimes be a little annoying, but they were informational and did point out quirks like you said that you’ll likely not find out about anywhere else unless

5th gear.  I miss Doug’s articles.  They are what brought me to Jalopnik.  His stories of his Carmax warrantied Range Rover are still my favorite articles of all time.

Used boxtsers are plentiful, but a good 3.4 motor is probably worth more than the rest of that Boxster.
