riddle-me-this

All the things you discuss have been corrupted by political involvement as much or more than any corruption that existed in them without government involvement. Most regulations are not a 'good thing'. There are SOME regulations that are a good thing, but once you start regulating a thing you inevitably creep into

And there's 0% corruption in the US Federal Government. Yeah, right.

The biggest corporation on the planet is the United States Government, which has just put itself in charge of other big corporations, will be writing the rules for big corporations, and will be taking bribes and rigging the game so they can personally profit from big corporations.

Anyone who thinks this was a good idea

And I don't want to live under such a system. Which is why opposition to government regulation is so important. The more power you give government, the more of a tyranny you eventually have. That's just historical fact.

I reject your two false choices.

Right back atcha, pilgrim. :)

It isn't anti Obama rhetoric. It's a default position that I have on Obama's actions and those of his administration based on their past behavior. Anti Obama rhetoric would be based on nothing. My position is based on what this admin. has done before. If they have done it before, then they'll do it again.

For starters, I reject your premise. I never said we are living under the yoke or absolute oppression - so for you to make that the condition of evidence is misplaced on your part and shows you don't really get what I'm talking about.

You aren't getting what I'm saying.

I wouldn't trust the GOP to open a can of sardines that was already open.

And you're using a different rule for radicals - ridicule. You've put forth no argument and so I dismiss you without further consideration.

Or - in parlance you might understand...

That's not the argument. Who cares about Comcast & Netflix? They are tangential to the real issue at this point. You're not picking up what I'm putting down. The whole Comcast/Netflix argument is a red herring. It's a strawman. It's irrelevant.

The real issue is that there is about to be a massive set of new

What I'm saying makes perfect sense. It is based on the current administration's past behavior. They have repeatedly lied to the American people. They have constantly and consistently reneged on their promises ('transparency' being one). They have on multiple occasions told people that upcoming

Nice, cogent argument. :) Predictable, I suppose.

No - you're swallowing a line of propaganda that SAYS that's what is happening. Obama and his cronies found the right buttons to push to get the inattentive, the gullible, and the easily manipulated to just nod their heads. Last time around, the collective public strongly rejected this nonsense. This time they took

If you believe this, then please call me today because I have a bridge in New York to sell to you. In fact - just give me all your money and property right now and I'll just get back to you on the details.

Until they show the law, I say no. Obama and his cronies have proven they can't be trusted with "we have to pass it to see what's in it" legislation. No.

Let's just call a spade a spade here. Hollywood has lost it. Really. As a culture, a sub-culture, as a profession, and as an organization - the entire population of Hollywood's 'movie' industry has absolutely lost their collective minds.

M'eh - I'm calling BS on "Carbon positive" marketing bologna. A home that small cannot possibly generate enough power to supply the needs of a fridge, lights, washing machine, hot water, TV, cable, internet, etc... Put a human being in that thing, and any semblance of being carbon 'positive' goes totally out the

Can we please stop allowing the failed-comedian, rejected astronaut, Bachelor degree holding Bill Nye to pollute the public discourse with his presence? The man is a joke.
