There isn't a single character in the entire Lord of the Rings & Hobbit that the trifecta of Jackson/Boyens/Walsh didn't mangle for the worse - and there are some that they butchered horribly to the point where they no longer even vaguely resemble the characters from the books (and that NOT a good thing).
