That’s not correct. The Xbox was, for all intents and purposes, just a living room PC - it was designed with relatively off-the-shelf hardware, which made porting PC games a breeze and explains the huge overlap between the contemporary Xbox and PC release libraries. The Gamecube, on the other hand, was more

I bought an Xbox One that I barely play. That’s not a scam. That’s buyers remorse.

Lol, that’s not a scam, that is you not getting your money’s worth out of the product. Maybe try it is a mobile console, as I have used it as a TV console like 5 times total.

How is that a scam tho?

Guys...can I make a suggestion? Could y’all maybe lighten it up a little?

I’ve listened to every ep since the relaunch, I WANT to enjoy it, I’ve been a Kotaku regular for god knows how long now, I like you guys and I want to hear what you have to say...I’ve just found the constant negativity and snark to be too much.

what is even the point of recognition for anything?

Nothing more human than the need to categorize, sort, and rank things according to whatever is the fancy of the day.

I still call the show what it really is: Game Trailer Showcase Thinly Disguised as an Award Ceremony

I don’t see any difference in the point between something like The Oscars and The Game Awards. Both are just an industry patting itself in the back. Whatever differences there may be are probably due to the fact the movie industry is much older and the Oscars itself is over 80 years older than The Game Awards.

fixed it

Because every other media industry has awards. End of story.

I think what many Fallout fans wanted was something more like Fallout 3 or New Vegas with co-op elements added.  An open world game that was still story focused with a lot of NPCs, and you’d have the option of friends joining in and helping with quests.  Instead Fallout 76 was more of a Fallout flavored survival

Maybe they should have pulled those games. Maybe if these digital storefronts stop carrying broken games it would give publishers incentive to not release broken games. CDPR doesn’t care about you dude, you gain nothing by defending them.

Cowardice, and stupidity.

What an embarrassment.

Sorry, but that is a silly comparison. You do not have a complete world with tons of NPCs running in the background in GoW. Also, much more limited wold geometry, and complexity. There are quite a few things they do in these action games to limit gameplay impact, snaking corridors with limited forward view are p.ex.

Also GOW3 had (mostly) fixed camera angles, so they could really optimize the look of every scene. So lighting could be prebaked pretty perfectly.

They’re lying. From only sending out PC codes, to ordering takedowns of console footage, to not showing base console footage themselves, it’s clear they knew it was a problem, and they hid it.

I just realized that my friend’s complaint of “It’s really weird, you have to put the games in with the art side down” really just means that he also has it upside down.

Newgrounds will be fine, they’re already preparing for this scenario for a long time with Ruffles. They also have Newgrounds Player built that can play any Flash content without any of troubling vulnerabilities.
