Adding to that, these seizures are not inducible on people without a specific gene predisposition.

From a neurologist friend:

“‘Blind playthrough’ or ‘going in blind’ can easily be replaced by saying ‘No spoilers playthrough’ or ‘Undiscovered’ or ‘first’ (if it is your first). A blind playthrough would be to turn your monitor off, and that’s not what most mean,” said Spohn. “Just as we used to say ‘gay’ when something was bad, using

I’m sorry, but I dunno how or why something like “blind playthrough” was somehow construed into being a negative connotation. No one correlates the phrase to actual blind people, and neither is the phrase “blind playthrough” or “going in blind” used as a pejorative like “gay” actually was, why is this even a thing?

A first playthrough means you anything as long as it is your first time playing. You could use a guide. Have help from other players. Already know the story before going into it. And more.

There may be no shortage of alternatives, but there’s also no shortage of alternate definitions for the word ‘blind’. It would probably be easier and make more sense to refer to people as being ‘visually impaired’ instead of ‘blind’, than it is to find alternate words for every other definition of ‘blind’, which among

PC culture at its worst... Should hunters change the name of their hideouts too? Stop being so sensitive about everything. There are 15 definitions of the word “blind” here.  Quit pretending like yours is the only and/or most important one.

Jesus. Nathan you are on an entirely different level. You write almost exclusively about Twitch and Cam Girls (and how in the blue fuck either of those things are even tangentially related to video games still blows my mind) and you take time out to shit all over a game you haven’t even played. A game that literally

Pandemic and Visceral...😔

How long before Bioware joins other EA studios in the long night?

Unlikely.  Consoles tend to be massive price losses for the companies, and they recoup their losses through the games themselves.

Because, the console is backwards compatible but not in all games. Some games will not use the backwards compatibility feature of the console and thus not compatible with the “backwards” feature of the console. Thus games that do are “backwards” compatible or backwards compatible.

Forwards compatible games would

because most people understand that backwards compatible means that it will work with current/nextgen consoles and it doesn’t really improve anything to correct them.

As someone who’s legitimately excited about a Biden presidency, the notion that having ‘a different old white man sitting behind the Resolute desk’ would somehow make the ‘worst people’ ‘go away’ is... a bit much to take in a PS5 review. And kind of creepy, honestly. I’m not saying there’s no reason to feel that way,

Yep, what I want to read about in my reviews of products is the state of the world and politics.  BEST part of the review.

Cell is PowerPC. Except instead of the triple-PPE* of the X360's Xenon, it’s a single PPE and eight (relatively-simplistic) SPE* cores, with one SPE disabled to improve manufacturing yields.**

Not exactly. Most Xbox consoles have had x86 processors, but the 360 didn’t; it was using a PowerPC processor, just like the PlayStation 3 and the GameCube, Wii, and Wii U. That’s why backwards compatibility from Xbox -> 360 and from 360 -> One were such a challenge compared to One -> Series X|S.

Windows Mixed Reality? Whatever, Micro$oft.
