Poor journalism here. Laurie says “Those that only protest the anthem” followed with talking about respecting those that protest AND do activism. He discussed Malcolm Jenkins on the Eagles who does this very thing.

This is also assuming Uber and Lyft driver are employees of Uber and Lyft which they are not.

Couple of issues here. 1st. Guarantee rate wouldn’t work. Too many variables. For example, if I’m giving someone a ride and traffic is so thick that a normal 10 minute drives becomes 30 minutes, I should be paid for 30 minutes. 2nd, some things are not intentional.
