Reminds me of when a black slave in the old south asked his master “Why does life has to suck so bad... “

That social contract... where does it exist? Is that similar to the contract owners had with each other and their slaves for thousands of years, that made that relationship acceptable for so many?

Natural laws aren’t good enough?

Because if we didn’t have bureaucrats stealing our money and then spending it for us... all hell would break loose. Makes perfect sense.

Love that term. It’s like getting in trouble for “Rape Evasion” Who enjoys the threat of either?

Just 150 years ago one could ask to name a civilization that hasn’t had or used slavery, as justification for it. Theft isn’t my thing, I prefer to voluntarily give my money to people who deserve it... thats my only point. If you don’t mind thugs taking money away from you and justifying it by screaming “roads +

Should I be paying for the air I breathe too? I think private services do a better job vs. monopolies, but if you think Govt Monopolies do a bang up job, then you’re free to believe that. Thanks for the reply.

If I, or so many others, thought I was getting my money’s worth out of those services i’d keep my mouth shut. I prefer the old fashion concept of being able to shop for the best provider - typically thats how the market gets rid of bad service while rewarding good service.

Curious as to why they even need them, they used to just use the FBI or local police do that part for them.

You may have. There are a lot of people in jail for not paying taxes. In fact, what they call “tax fraud” (aka trying to avoid financial rape) tends to be punished far more severely than even manslaughter or murder when you take a look at punishment fitting the crime.

No, Taxes are the prices for you to not get thrown in jail. Civilization would go on without bureaucrats and I’d go as far to say, better off. If Greece isn’t a perfect example of what is to come for the rest of society who entrust so much faith and money into thieves in suits, I don’t know what is.

Where did you or I sign up for that? In fact, where are the signatures on the constitution? - Not to drag this predictable conversation out too long, because I really don’t want to, but this entire concept of People entitled to your hard earned money takes a level of faith beyond any religion or cult.

You’re one of those guys who think its takes 25-50% of someone’s salaries to keep roads paved, aren’t you?

I’d say thats 2nd to the IRS.

It’s the kind that involves the careless Craigslist Buyer who brings 2-3k of Cash with him for that sweet low mileage Mercedes 190e or Toyota Camry to only realize that middle of no where address has 2 thugs with weapons and zero intentions on selling you anything but your life in exchange for your money.

it’s a generic and pejorative term, no argument there, but as of now I don’t know how else to categorize or label the corrupt side of that industry. Sort of like “Big Brother” and the faction of the Govt that is more interested in power and control than protecting freedoms.

Hard to say its an inflated price when thats now the going rate. It’s not as if there are only “old” prices and next year’s price.

Did I offend you by calling the Pharmaceutical company “big pharma” ? Would you be shocked if you one day found out there’s corruption in that space too?

Yea, Porsche is Free to make as many as they wish. The issue isn’t the free market but people thinking they’re entitled to having an opportunity to buy one.

Maybe that info is somehow found within the Vaccine courts? I always did wonder if the fuss was so small or minuscule as you put it, why did they bother creating courts for settlement in this case but they don’t for so many other big pharma related incidents?
