I doubt they’d keep it exclusive to their films. They just don’t release enough of them per year to do it (only about 8-12), and it would be leaving money at the table.

Oh Jesus this is going to end with Disney buying up a theater chain and turning it in to an exclusive showroom for their content.
Exactly. I’m not sure what they thought was going to happen.
A lot of things during that happened during this pandemic were completely preventable, but I’m not sure saving AMC ever really was. They were already in crisis mode months before the pandemic hit, and I’m not really sure they would have lasted another five normal years. Streaming and Moviepass really tore into them,…
Speaking of takes...let them die? These theaters employed a lot of people. It was their fault that a pandemic wiped out their business?
yeah, I really like all the AMCs near me, and one of the things I’ve been missing most in all of this is going to the movies. I’m pretty upset at the thought that movies might just be like, over
Honestly I hate the reserved recliner seating thing. My friends and I went to see Dr. Strange like 3 weeks after it came out. Got to the theater at like 2:30 for a 3pm show but there weren’t 3 recliners next to each other, same for the 6pm show, they were all reserved.
Repeating once again because it cannot be repeated enough: This was completely preventable.
I know theaters generally get bashed on these boards, but in my case the AMC Theaters in my area have been very nice, clean and comfortable with reserved recliner seating and stuff — just a really pleasant movie-going experience altogether.
If Wentz is lost for the year, Foles and the offense have three weeks against bad to so-so opponents to adjust to a system without Wentz and prepare for the playoffs.
I don’t think thats how it works in 2017. If record holds, whatever team you are rooting for loses in a humiliating fashion and/or the Patriots win again.
Bleeding Green today has commenters digging out medical text books. No joke.
Also I hope Nick Foles turns into Superman and wins a Super Bowl because 2017 is WEIRD
This is a shame because Philadelphia fans are generally such a pleasant lot who just can’t catch a break despite years of loyal and kindhearted devotion to their hometown teams.
It’s great to win the East and all, but trusting Foles with the offense is like trusting your Ferrari to a chump who did really, really well on his driving test a few years ago, but who’s driving record is filled with really dumb accidents since then. We’re fucked.
Going by the production code (1LAB13), this episode really was meant to be the finale, and the one that was shifted to next season (1LAB12) was supposed to be the second-to-last one.
I felt like it worked as a finale because it brought the Ed and Kelly arc to a climax, and even a cliffhanger of sorts. Nothing of great cosmic import, but the series opens with the last moment of their marriage, so there’s a symmetry.
The Next Generation did the exact opposite of what you just said on several occasions. For example, in “First Contact” the aliens basically decide that they want nothing to do with the Federation and Picard’s eloquent speeches. Then there was the episode where Picard tries to “fix” the human boy, but realizes he’s…
Yeah, my biggest hang up with the show remains that it goes about a half-level deep with any of the concepts it broaches. It make sure the crew seem like a particularly earnest group of high-schoolers. I keep on expecting them to build on whatever basic premise they introduce, but they just don’t. The end result is…
I wonder if the episode that got cut from the season was supposed to be the actual finale because this did not feel like a finale at all.
