You are correct in as much as threats are different from outrage. But i have not heard of the Kotaku example you gave. I'll guess that was just a something you made up for compare/contrast.

This horrible behavior goes both ways. We all need to rise above it. The real issues here are not being addressed by the VG Journalism industry in general. But the hate is an important issue that needs addressed too.
