@AndroidFan: OH MAN! I didn't know that (or didn't remember it)! So there's a Linux distro that is using a Microsoft powered search engine as it's default.
@RickS: Wouldn't it be funny if it had been Bing instead of Yahoo!?
If it keeps a great product free, sure. It's not like it's an ad that's right there on your desktop, or some annoying pop-up. You have a choice to change it to whatever you want.
There is NO woot of in progress! I repeat, NO WOOT OFF. You may all go back to your regularly scheduled activities, and let me get my bag of crap!
I'm such a loser! My fb friend count, which includes almost all my rl friends, isn't even over 100. Guess my brain can handle all my fb friends.
@vinylrake: If the tow truck driver has a policy that any car left in the lot for 30 days or more becomes their property, and I go to them and say I need a car, but mine wasn't towed, and they give me a car that was there for 30 days or more, it's not stealing.
I wish he had included both a full size keyboard and a laptop keyboard. Would have been interesting to see if there was any difference between the two.
@everyone: When I stay at a hotel, it's usually for a number of months, one work week at a time. They get to know me, and value me. They will keep it for me, as they know me. I've even had stuff put in my room before I checked in.
@mortal2god: Like others have said. They don't care. The things are going to be tossed, or have been there for a long time and are in the way.
@vinylrake: It's not stealing if you say that you lost your charger, but you know they have a bunch back there, and can you take a look. I've done that before, and been given permission to poke through the box. I was honest, and said that it's not mine. I even picked out one for my wife. It's not stealing. It's…
@brodie7838: 99% for FF, 0.5% for IE Tab, and 0.5% for actual IE. IE tab is an extension in FF that allows you to use IE rendering inside FF, in case you didn't already know that....
For some reason, I thought this was coming in my instructables feed, and was ready to mark it as spam! :)
Lots of people are chanting "Kill! Kill!" ala Alice's Restaurant. I only have one problem with kill trips. They leave behind a dead thing. I'd much rather use a non-kill method so i don't have to deal with the dead body.
@jeffk: I just tested a PDF. It started out life as 3.92 MB, and when zipped was 3.35 MB. While that's not a great savings in bandwidth, this dumbf@k n00b is going to disagree with you, and continue to zip them.
Our corprorate policy is browser neutrality, but I'm not allowed to upgrade IE to the latest version. If I want IE, it has to stay on 6. I use FF for 99% of stuff, then the IE Tab for 0.5%, and then, only when absolutely necessary, do I go to actual IE.
90999 doesn't actually go straight to the American Red Cross. It's done through the State department, and then goes to Red Cross.
HEY! I know Mike De Lucia! I used to work with him in Syracuse! Small world!
I'm always nice to customer service. It's not their fault (most of the time) that something is wrong, but they have the power to fix it, and sometimes, go the extra mile. I've been upgraded to first class and been given free round trip airfare, just for being nicer than the guy in front of me. "I know it's not your…
PS: I use Google Apps for domain for the email. It's free, and just like gmail.
