Has anyone who did this every had a book published bigtime? Has this ever been the big break for someone? I'm not picturing Tom Clancey, as an unpublished, sitting down on 11/1 and turning out his first published work by 11/30.

Brad, that sounds like swinging three bats in the on deck circle. Haven't done that in a long time, but we used to do that when I was a kid. Now they use the weighted doughnuts, don't they?

Obviously, that should have been RACE results. Rade results make no sense.

IsenMike—One last thing. The folks at Dateline work with perverted-justice.com to do their stings. If you go there, you'll see just how much the folks at perverted-justice.com do to attract the predetors. It's not a nice read, so I'm not going to post a link, but if you go there just click on the link for the

IsenMike—PS I would normally agree with you on not being able to trust TV new like this. The fact that they are teamed with the police, and arrests are made, however, convinces me that the dangers are real.

IsenMike-If the shows were trying to attract preditors, then the chat transcripts would show clear entrapment, and the preditors would not be convicted of any crimes. Every sting is done with the cooperation of the police in that area. EVERY SINGLE ONE of the people who fall for the sting are arrested. While they

I'm sorry t3knomanser, but the online predetor threat is very real, and not overblown. For proof, watch the NBC series about catching a preditor. They go online pretending to be 13-15 year old boys and girls, and get solicited to the point where over 20 men show up at their sting per episode (they don't start the

Number one thing to keep in mind: Things will be different for your area.

I have three words: DON'T DO IT! Why? I think it's rude. I fly every week, so I have a different outlook on things like this than most people. What happens if the person sitting next to you, on a full plane, with no alternative, is deathly alergic to your pet? You're stuffed in there too close for comfort as it is,

@seda: Nope. Not just you. I was just going to post that I was getting an error as well.

I tried this out about 8 years ago in the MONY towers in Syracuse. I thought it was working for about a week. Then one time it stopped, even though I was doing it, and I realized I was just lucky all the times before that, and I would have gone straight down anyway.

I haven'te tried this myself, but it looks cool:

Is adware truly malware? I think of malware as something that does something bad, such as taking over my computer to send spam, or forcing popups when I'm browsing websites. Showing ads within the application isn't necessarily something bad.

I used to start my day with 44 oz of soad, then maybe another 20 before lunch. Depending on where we'd go for lunch, I'd have as much as another 64 oz at lunch, then at least another 40 before work was done. Then I'd have another 32 with dinner. That would be, what, 200 oz. That was an extreme day, but I could

I was going to try the lightbulb thing. I went and bought 3 45 watt bulbs to replace 3 65 watt bulbs. Problem is that the bulbs are not the standard type, they are for can lights in the ceiling—they are more like spot lights. The 65 watt bulbs I can get in a bulk 12 pack, but the 45's hvae to be bought singlely. As a

I fly just about every week. Recently Buffalo to Atlanta and back. My observations on the new rules:

Correction, not breaking the law won't guarentee not getting arrested, but if you aren't breaking the law, you stand a better chance of not getting arrested, and if you do get arrested, you've got a much better chance of not getting convicted.

There is only one way to guarentee not getting arrested. Don't break the law. If you're pulled over and you refuse to let them search, they can just arrest you, tow your car, get a warrent, and search anyway.
