Not sure why I like Field of Fire so much, it just works for me for some reason even though I am fully aware of the flaws it has.

I love the fact that Odo gives her a Mike Hammer novel to read. "He's as tough as they get and doesn't like waiting either."

I kind of like Field of Fire… and while Prodigal Daughter isn't great, I don't find it all that bad.

Oh yeah, another thing I wanted to mention. In a lot of shows, once they kill off a character, they never mention that character again. It is like they never existed. I love the fact that DS9 actually continues to mention Jadzia (and not just because a new Dax is on board). People talk about her, you can sense that

SPOILERS (WHOA NOW) - This would have been better than who she actually ended up with.

I can't remember where I read this, and maybe I am remembering wrong but I remember something where the writers said that Terry Ferril leaving was a life saver for season 7. Apparently they had the main arc planned out and that plus the few stand alone eps they had planned weren't enough to fill the whole season.

“'Multiple scenes with Garak' will improve just about anything."

Kira is second command of the station, Worf is second command of the Defiant. They discuss that in another episode where Sisko is off the station. Worf specifically says that while Sisko is away, he commands the Defiant.

The Kira taking command over Worf bothered me as well. I always just kind of assumed that Worf just let it go because they were in the middle of the mission and his expertise was needed at tactical instead of command. Also, to stop the battle to argue about command would have been pointless. It is kind of odd that

Over the run of the show, The Federation took more and more control over the station. They are insidious. For some reason I am in the mood for Root Beer now.

Berman was probably just pissed she was going to leave, so he gave her the worst death scene possible.

There is part of me that gets kind of annoyed by the Chosen One arc because it does just come out of no where… but in retrospect… of course The Prophets would completely engineer the life of their own emissary. It is exactly the kind of thing they would do.

*SPOILERS*
Damar is absolutely the best part of Season 7. He really gets an amazing arc and Casey Biggs does a great job with it. I also really liked Ezri.

Now, I just want to know what would have happened had they played it out with Nog taking command. That could have been an interesting, yet completely different story.

Question for anyone that knows more than me about military ranks.
I was talking to someone I know about this episode years ago (they were in the Army so I assume they know more about ranks than I do) and they suggested that Nog should have technically been in command as soon as he got on the Valiant because he had an

We just need a video of Gowron says "Glory to you… and your HOUSE" with Vrenak responding "Its a FAAAAAAKE." Just because those two things back to back would be hilarious.

I love this episode. Absolutely one the DS9's best. Starfleet complacency in the plan always bugged me a little big. I don't think anything is wrong with it really, it really just shows how desperate they are. However, there is part of me that feels like it would have been a strong Sisko episode if he went through all

I see what you did there.

Looking back, I kind like the idea of killing off Dax in this episode rather than later on. Imagine what it would have done to Worf's character if the episode played out exactly as it did, only to get her back to the station too late and Bashir is unable to save her. So not only does he risk his career and his honor,

Let's see, you are absolutely correct, a story about a man who has trouble getting a story published because his protagonist is a black man has no relevance in a society where minorities are still ridiculously under represented in the media. Maybe do a little research on Hollywood Whitewashing. Just because the story
