Well I can some what agree with everything you said, but consider this. The 2004 Mustang produced 193hp with it's 3.8L V6. Additionally the 3.8L V6 in the 2004 Monte Carlo SS pumped out 200hp. However the 3.0L V6 in the Accord had 240hp. So for it's time the Mitsu 6G72 wasn't really that terrible.
The Mitsubishi 6G72 produced 200 HP at least in it's 2001-2004 Eclipse/Stratus R/T configuration. I don't think that's all that bad for an N/A 3.0L V6. (Former 2004 Stratus R/T coupe owner)

Last Tuesday I picked up a 55" Element LCD (1080P, 120hz) from Target for $517 out the door with a 3-year extended warranty (purchased due to brand). It doesn't have any bells and whistles, but the picture is beautiful, especially for the price.
