Auto pilots are there to assist in a plane or boat, the pilot absolutely still has to pay attention to everything that is going on and just like a Tesla be prepared to take control at any time.

Auto pilot is the correct term for what the car is doing, i am not sure it’s Tesla’s job to re-educate some parts of the public because they have assumed something else.

If you borrow a Tesla it tells you to Hold on to the wheel and prepare to take over when auto pilot is used, its pretty obvious.
