You don’t need to have a second guy sitting in the car to monitor its systems, that functionality could be carried out remotely (Maybe even in real time). Why would you think nobody is doing that?

Maybe but do they see what the car sees or are they looking at a screen full of numbers, are they even sitting in the front? I would imagine the back seat would be a better working environment.

Hilux is a good 16" narrower than an F150. There is certainly a use for trucks in Europe but it is very limited and almost exclusively work related and not leisure.

People in the US buy trucks for all sorts of reasons but day to day driving which doesn’t use it capabilities is a huge market. In Europe pickups are not seen that way and more as work only trucks (and why wouldn’t you buy a van anyway?) and certainly not as a drive to the shops vehicle.
