If you have become a citizen no there is nothing to really carry except your licence, if you are a Green card holder then yes you need to carry that.

Green Card holders are instructed to carry that with them at all times i would imagine other visas have a similar requirement. Once you become a citizen though there isn’t anything to carry except your license and a passport if you have one.
