I cant wait for Elon to tweet a comparison picture of Tesla’s network now vs Porsche’s ‘upcoming’ network.

I’ve said for years that its not just about the car, its also the charging infrastructure.
Thats cute.
Remember when BMW’s full lineup was 3, 5, 7, Z4, Z8, and X5? Those were simpler times.
This is a classic engineering problem to solve - all it takes is time and money and a whole host of smart folks from various areas of expertise to do a sit down to sort things out.
It’s so depressing to me to read about the optimism we had about atomic energy in the 1950s and find myself in 2019 getting power from friggin’ coal while countries talk about decommissioning the few reactors they actually have.
Once you’ve driven a 1 speed and experienced the instant trust at any millisecond you choose, you’ll never want a clutch or multiple gears again. Plus shifting without the noise would be hard.
Not sure why everyone forgets the MR2 Turbo, handling and power out of the box, MID ENGINE RWD, easily tunable, bullet proof motor (2/3 of the Supra motor)with a Yamaha head, reasonably light. Snap over steer? Learn to drive....I, and many others tracked ours regularly
Since no GT-R in the US, 2nd place is Z32 300ZXTT.
Yeah I was a poor sucker who went through chicken pox and measles in the same school year. NOT A FUN TIME.
As a kid I somehow contracted chicken pox and measles in the same year/school year. I was fine but neither was a fun thing to go through (afaik I was vaccinated for it, probably just unlucky) and yeah if I could’ve avoided the measles I would’ve done so.
Very much this, and this also goes for the “chicken pox is really bad when you’re an adult!” crowd. I had it at 18, it was no biggie. Annoying but nothing worse than that. But my kids got it at 4 and they suffered hugely, it was awful.
Sympathies. I had it at 24, after suffering a month long bout with the flu (no flu vaccine available in our region at the time). I’m super curious, did they give you any medication to relieve your suffering? I was initially diagnosed (at our college health center) with - I’m totally fucking serious - acne. After a…
Heck, I have to give my child a shot (well, suppository) up the bum every day because of her chronic constipation. A one-and-done? Sign me up. She lives in perpetual constipated misery.
I had chickenpox growing up.. I would take a few shots over that agony any day
polio is a great argument for anti-vaxxers & my friend who is an herbalist. “ya got an herb for polio?” shuts her up every time.
In the late 70s there were about 50 kids on our block and when the first one got the chicken pox (remember there wasn’t a vaccine for it back then) every mom exposed their kids (not the toddlers and babies though) to it so the symptoms would be mild because having this disease as a teen or older person is horrible.…
I had chickenpox as a 35-year old. It’s horrid. And apparently quite dangerous to get as an adult. Also, (with my consent), they paraded me around the medical clinic to show what an adult case looks like! Due to the vaccine, the younger doctors had never seen an adult case. Our son, who had previously had the…
If my kid could get a shot for WHATEVER shitty illness could make him feel bad, I’d do it. Like the keratosis I gave him or constipation or food poisoning.
When I had chemo and my eyebrows/lashes fell out, I was legit pissed because Sex and the City did not prepare me for that. And zero nurses offered me a goddamn popsicle.
