Really, truly unfortunate choice of words and yet another reminder that Michelle isn’t ready for prime time. She will be, and soon, but not yet. She could really use some tips from Hillary regarding how to avoid shaming groups of potential voters and even beyond that how to just be a decent and caring person in all asp

Much wow. Very sad.

I think the buyer is missing the basic psychology here. Do you want a doctor who is your equal? Or do you want a doctor who is smarter than you? If I am hiring an architect, I definately want someone who has better taste than me. The Volvo, especially the interior, screams “architect’s car.” The Land Rover would also

It’s a Torchistory lesson :)

Pump?  Use air from the spare tire.

It has one of those Pertronix electric ignition setups inside the original distributor.

I’m the owner of an MGB which has aspirations of one day being half as nice as your GT6. Beautiful!

I’m just going to suggest you avoid doing a full restoration yourself unless you absolutely have to. It can become a much bigger project very easily.

I have a 70 GT6+ and it looks like you put AC in the car. Seems like a very worthwhile addition. Also I noticed the heat/vent section is missing from the center section of the dash. I’m assuming you combined it with the AC install. Any pictures, links or details about that?

Love it!  I was born in the 80's and my first car was a ‘78 Spitfire.  I always wanted a GT6 and if I ever get the chance I’d definitely take it.

At least you got to drive one. Last spring I stopped by a Craigslist ad for a Triumph GT6 on a lark - half serious. The car was in better shape than I expected, actually well represented in the online advert. After a history lesson from the owner and a walk around I tried to get inside. At 6'3" I’m not exactly short

Beautiful car and photos. Thanks for sharing.

‘And those are Mikuni motorcycle carburetors, if you’re curious.’

Can you imagine putting today’s average, American, teenaged new driver behind the wheel of one of these things? Most of them would quit on you in minutes and go back to Snapchat.”

So, let’s see...

Honestly, I think this thing looks stellar. Reminds me a lot of the Ferraris that everyone seems to care so much about (like this 250 SWB):

And the most amazing thing is that, just 50 years ago, new drivers would learn to drive on cars like this!

My grandfather still has a GT6 parts car left over from his racing days.  It’s really just a bodyshell at this point: no drivetrain, interior is trash, hood is rusted beyond repair.  My plan is to one day turn it into a full custom, probably with Miata mechanicals.
