Great Articles Trevor! Yes.. that transmission is coming out in the next weekend or so and going to Quantum Mechanics.. I think part of it is the age and that it is due for some attention, although Kristen and Michaels experience is also part of the way the car is; Ive gotten used to it and sort of know the feel of

No worries, and per your handle here.. the side vent windows keep the cabin decently good enough.. no AC needed..

No fetal calf leather? What are we.. farmers?

This car had a lot of electrical issues when I got it; the harness had a lot of previous “work” done to it. I ended up replacing the entire Lucas harness with a universal setup from a hot-rod place. It’s now properly fused, and everything works very well. I also put a larger alternator in it at that time. It was

I used an adhesive backed aluminum heat shield tape carefully applied to the inside of the new shield.  Its lasted 5 years so far (knock on wood)

During the brief time when the “original” AC unit was running, I didn’t notice any issue with engine temps, although the original unit had a second cooling fan (electrical) attached to the radiator. That is something I will need to keep an eye on if/when I get AC running again in it. Currently the car has a

Its about the experience.. because from a technical standpoint the cars were not particularly well made.

Nice car! So.. it doesn’t have AC yet.. When I got the car parts of the dash were messed up.. and it had an aftermarket AC system from the 70s (the compressor is still there as can be seen) When I restored the inside, I retrofitted a new heater core with AC evaporator from custom air (they make stuff for hot rods?) At

Yeah, Im pretty aware of that and the exploding costs involved. Might be something 5-1o years out. When I restored the inside, and the electrical system, I made sure things were more easily removeable for a full restore later. Still, its a huge undertaking.

I have a plastic transmission cover that I thoroughly heat shielded before installation.. it made a very big difference in cabin temps.

When BMW bought the Rover Group in 1994 Triumph was one of the marques included in the sale.

I *strongly* recommend one. I don’t see myself ever selling this car; it is a lot of fun. When Kristen etc were here, I mentioned to them the advantage of this car is, while the GT6 itself is unique.. it is almost entirely parts from either a Spitfire or a TR6.. so stuff is easy to get and pretty cheap. It’s also very

yeah.. you arent going to be having a good time then.

Awesome! I love the bonnet-mounted mirror.. if/when I ever did a full restore on mine I would relocate it there... and maybe get one for the passenger side too.

With the original seats that reclined very far back.. perhaps but it wouldn’t be comfortable.

I checked the measurements.. it would fit in width.. the length it might fit, but it would hang off the back a bit.

It has one of those Pertronix electric ignition setups inside the original distributor.

Yes, they are the Mikunis. Definitely a much more consistent carb than the SU.
