The a capella group’s name was Choral Fixation, not Choral Perfection - a great gag and you turned it into nothing! (You did use the word “fixation” later in the review, though, so who knows, maybe you’d gotten it subconsciously.)

I got some laughs out of the first episode, maybe mostly just out of nostalgia and affection for Brooks and his classic style, however dated it is now. But the review failed to mention Pamela Adlon, whose performance alongside Kroll in the Fiddler spoof was the highlight of the episode for me.
Kyle wasn’t totally off-base to be surprised that Henry is “moonlighting” during the daytime. The name of the thing is not a coincidence, it’s traditionally done at night in between days of your day job!
She has had an amazing run of being in some of the best shows ever. I wouldn’t put Glow in that category although I liked it a lot, but Mad Men, Community, BoJack Horseman, wow.
Indeed there are a lot of songs and singing (big choreographed production numbers) in the movie and that was my lesst favorite part. The musical numbers are just not as clever and funny as those on the Simpsons, many of which are memorable classics.
Commenter from the far future responding! I have just been binge-watching the first season of Party Down here in late 2022 and after the first few episodes had the same observation that it is a lot like Taxi, in that all the gang in both workplaces think of it as a temporary job to pay the bills until their ship comes…
Wasn't it Van who said that?
Just the idea that Annie was going to try to add her own counterfeit director’s commentary to the dvd and was trying out lines like “we shot this scene on location” was the hilarious joke, not her Christian Bale impression.
This young lady has starred in a pretty amazing run of all-time great shows, Mad Men, Community, Bojack, and while not in quite the same league as those, GLOW is nothing to sneeze at either.
I am enjoying this tremendously!
Love and Death is one if the funniest movies ever made.
Yes but Farrow is his ex- girlfriend, not ex-wife.
For me it’s simple and literal. Summer is the time I feel happiest by far and I really do feel happy the whole season long. Call me crazy but I love warm sunny weather, being at the beach or the river or lake swimming and sunbathing, going for rides and adventures my Waverunner, traveling light everywhere in sandals…
You are telling me that in order to redeem himself, Jimmy willingly gave up his seven-year sentence to spend the whole rest of his life in prison? (And he’s only in his mid to late 40s???) That just doesn’t seem believable; neither Jimmy, Saul, Gene or ANYBODY would do that. I get that the idea is he’s turned over a…
“The 6th Avenue Slasher's m.o. was simple: he targeted older women. A few younger women. And men of all ages. "
Well, the cast of characters did include a bunch of rural jurors.
Lydia
Her sketch show on Comedy Central showed her to be beyond funny and talented, she is intelligent, brave and sometimes brilliant. Her first movie ”Trainwreck” was very good too.
That’s exactly it and this is done IRL
Quite the contrary, in a new interview this week he's said he doesn't know and would like to keep telling the story
