Yes, I thought that was a nice step forward for him emotionally. I mean, it doesn’t count as much as it would of he did the same thing for someone other than a woman he loves (in his own childlike way).
Good point about Hank, in fact, from my original understand of the character from the first couple seasons, I would never have thought he had anything like that at in him at all. I thought he looked at the mob as like an enjoyable, well-paying office job and enjoyable social hang and just kind of cheerfully tuned out…
I thought her reply was “I love you too.”
Yeah, it turns out that the original thread of “Barry’s attempted turn to an acting career” was kind of a red herring and not what the show is about.
Well, he did tell Sally he had chosen to leave acting, although they didn't flesh that out at all.
Of course Barry’s not evil; he’s at an often-hilariously childlike state of emotional development, though. He has for the whole series had a sincere desire to stop killing and live a normal life, but a childlike expectation to be able to do so without facing any consequences for what he’s already done, even if that…
How about the cool choice of not having any subtitles for us when Cristobal’s wife was talking to him. They weren’t necessary.
Not enough Hank this season. He’s only had one really quick, heartbreaking, hilarious scene each is these last few episodes. When Mitch was advising him on his relationship, poor Hank typically doesn’t quite understand the expression “red flag.”
I thought it was Glover playing the guy who Van beat with the baguette. Looked like him.
“We’ve both done terrible things, but now we’re helping each other make up for them!”
Seem a little prickly about just exchanging thank-yous and you’re-welcomes as part of a business transaction. Doing that doesn’t mean people are friends or pretending to be, just being friendly and acknowledging each other’s humanity
Yup, it did look like him.
Well, exactly, it just didn’t many sense. It was like the writers forgot about the accident. Maybe they’ll clear it up next episode.
This was a really funny episode. Three lines that got big laughs from me and my gal stand out: the breaking-up woman’s simple explanation (as their dogs chased Gene through their yard) after her lover listed all the good things about their relationship, “you have too many dogs;” Gene’s asking a kind stranger on the…
Did they leave the party without Van at the end? Didn't she come with them?
Ah right, the drug store (supermarket?) shootout, forgot all about it. Thanks!
I misunderstood that scene until I read the recaps. I thought the cuckolded husband was Detective Moss’ newly divorced partner, didn’t he hire Barry to kill his ex’s new beau? But I guess it was just anther one of Barry’s “Dark web Craigslist” clients. So what happened with that subplot? I guess I forget.
...one of the greatest characters, period! So funny and strangely lovable.
Midge is a good person! She wouldn't do that to Benjamin.
