His one segment carried the entire series imo. I still get a laugh when I remember the image of him rubbing the 2 wires together to make the doorbell ring.

Honestly that explosion in stores also went along with a generation of consoles(360/PS3/Wii) that had a ton of add on peripherals that were extremely popular.
