My biggest complaint (aside from Wade being too sane and nice) *spoiler*:

barely. he was caught off guard by that one hit... and one other er.... hit that i think all the men in the audience went “ermygerd...” but otherwise, he’s still pretty badass.

There isn’t anything even worthy of mention nudity-wise imo. Now with the violence and gore, I could do with less of that and enjoy the movie even more. Went to see it with my ex-wife, told her this and she said, “see, you’re like a baby girl - that’s probably why I don’t live with you anymore”. One of the best jokes

I mean, its there. Its not crazy bad. The violence was there, but it wasn’t like super gory. There was small section of sex scenes but they don’t really show anything aside from breasts and Reynolds ass which is done in a comical way.

To everyone commenting that I should “grow up” or that me not being crazy about full-frontal nudity is odd, let me explain.

Tough to make that argument when both DC and Marvel are in the midst or rebooting and resetting all their comics to number 1 for the second time in 5 years.

Prolly because like me you were convinced that 1 day all those chrome alternate #1 issue covers were gonna be worth a gagillion dollars and not be worthless moldy firestarters languishing in my parents attic like they are today.

Yeah I am a huge Deadpool fan and I thought the sex was over the top, now since Deadpool is so over the top with everything it was believable but still. I knew that to do Deadpool right it would have to be R for the violince, but it almost felt like they thought “Well now that it’s R we have all this extra room for

Made for one of the best quotes of the movie: “International Women’s Day”. The montage is one for the ages.

“I hear the sequel is going direct to Cable.”

For new villains, it’s common for them to pick up the toughest character among the heroes (usually The Big Guy) and hurl them across the room or otherwise take them out in one blow, thus showing that they are the real deal.

While the nudity in the film is pretty in-your-face, it’s also SUPER-DUPER easy to anticipate (and thus avoid). “Oh, hey. It looks like Wade and Vanessa are about to have sex, somehow I bet there’s going to be— yep. There’s Inara in all her glory.”

This makes me think that you definitely aren’t old enough to have actually been reading comics in the 90's. It was so, so, so much worse than today. Not even comparable.

But which hologram did you get?? I got the silver chromium version 2.2 cover (so much better than the gold).

The trailers really lowered my expectations of this film, but I went to see it last night with some friends anyway. I loved it. There’s a lot more substance to the movie than the trailers would have you believe, and while there are some jokes that don’t land much of it is genuinely clever.

Its more like NC-17 and I was shocked that a parent brought a troop of about 9 kids who were not even High School aged, they looked like 5th graders and they witnessed Ryan Reynolds get rear ended by his gf who was wearing a strap on

I am no fan of Deadpool. I remember him from waaaay back in the early X-force days. And I have vaguely kept up with him over the years as he has become an increasingly large presence at comic cons. Also because one of my friends cannot get enough of him and she wastes no time sending me various Deadpool related stuff.

My problem was that I was introduced to Deadpool with the “Cable and Deadpool” series. It was never really vulgar. Suggestive, sure, but not vulgar. Violence, ok, he has decapitated a man and punted his head.

Evan not being a Deadpool fan and liking this movie has me somewhat interested—I’m very much in the same boat. Frankly the marketing and hype has been exhausting, and I’m not even seeking it out. I was very ready for this to come and go, if not just to finally quit hearing poorly quoted chimichanga jokes around the
