I've been wondering if maybe Maddie Ferguson was a doppelgänger Laura all along.

I would think sfbuds is talking about Another Pioneer, but I'm not sure. Speaking of DFW, his writings about David Lynch and Twin Peaks specifically are incredibly insightful.

I don't want to think about it ever being over! I feel like that book has some stuff about Jacoby and Nadine that make that whole deal a little more intriguing.

I think I'm a crazy lefty sometimes too, but really I think I'm just terrified of the far right and also turned off by lots of barely coherent political yelling, so Dr. Amp reminded of the kind of thing I've heard far more from the other side…

I feel misunderstood. I didn't mean that the politics are the same at all, just that the mindset that it takes to follow an extreme personality like that, and the personality that tries to pursue those followers are similar.

That far on either side and the lines get blurred.

I'm glad someone else mentioned the Dr Amp/Alex Jones thing. I watched Twin Peaks and then Last Week Tonight last night and when John Oliver was talking about the cures Jones was selling, I literally yelled out, "Dig yourself out of the shit!"

Totally agree. If this was any other actor or actress, I might not think so, but this being Dern almost certainly means Diane is going to have layers.

I definitely got that vibe. I was just waiting for one of them to scream 'What's in he box?'

I really like how the only two episodes that Alicia Witt has appeared in (one in the original run and one in The Return) are also the only two episodes to feature solo piano music during the end credits.

It seems to me that everybody working with and/or for Bad Coop are to some degree terrified of him. Everyone except for maybe Tim Roth and Jennifer Jason Leigh's characters.

No meddling with the votes!

You know it's gonna be good because they spell it with a z.

Same here. But I also thought the dream sequence within a dream sequence was rather unnecessary.

A box of old cds or a box of sharp objects?

Next they'll try to copyright an ocean full of fish with clown faces on them.

I just don't think they would focus so much on her if she wasn't a key part of wherever it's going. Part of it is her character's air, but she always seems to know more about what is going on than anyone around her.

A literal Mr. Robot!

She has to know about Tyrell's end game, obviously something we don't get to know. She's doing all this to prepare for his return, I'm guessing.
