The whole Andrew Tate worshipping gamer crowd is just weird to me. Growing up as a kid in the 90s, a girl who knew her way around a video game was the girl every boy wanted to hang out with at my school, now the tiki torchers want to gate-keep video games into a sausage fest.

Dead Island is a paradox. On one hand yeah the CG trailers are so unconnected to the gameplay/content but on the other hand the hotel trailer is easily one of the best trailers I have ever seen for a video game.

I think the author was lamenting that they used CGI to represent the bridge instead of shutting down Mass Ave and pissing off a ton of Bostonians, as we would all no doubt prefer.

Just about any story can be bulleted, as you did, to a boring and simplified mess. Your ability to do that is not a sound counter to what was proposed.

This is a needlessly nitpicky response IMO - the trailer _is_ for the game after all. The inferred meaning is obviously “[The trailer for the] game looks cool” since that is what we have seen, just like when you see a trailer for a movie and think “this looks like it could be a cool movie”.

I truly don't understand those apology posts. Like..... Who do they think they are fooling exactly? What you sat down and wrote a lengthy post, and now suddenly it doesn’t reflect your values?
