Imagine working nights and weekends on a project that really excites you. Something you’re passionate about. You absolutely grind yourself to dust over something that you can bring into the world and let people engage with. The game launches, people see what you’ve made, people are actually buying this thing you’ve

I think they should have come out with a THPS5. Not a remake of the existing one, just come out with a new game, call it THPS5 and pretend like the other one doesn’t exist (as I guess it doesn’t since I’ve heard it is nearly literally unplayable anyway due to online/server issues making it hard to even play the game

This is soul crushing!

It was such an obvious decision to remake those too, they could have done it easily too since they had everything built from 1&2 as far as the engine and gameplay goes. I guess it did too well. Cause as soon as you reach a certain level in Activision you get merged into Call of Duty or to Blizzard for something (which

There is no THPS, only COD.

Zack, I agree that corporate consolidation sucks, but boy are you being alarmist.

Yeah, it’s crazy that a human would form an attachment to a narrative, something we’ve done since the dawn of our ability to communicate.

Guys its a fighting game. You all are really overthinking the lore implications.

Nobody does this for smash. No one complains that pitting Fire Emblem characters arent having their lore respected by having them fight an Inkling. That the Biblical aspects of Bayonetta are being underminded by having her fight the cast

It’s nice, but I feel it takes some of the unknowns out of the equation. I can see why people like that, but not truly knowing what your opponent is capable of seems like a good thing to me.

The feature; the ability to middle click on an enemy unit to see detailed stats about it, special abilities, loadout etc.

NICE. I’m not very far in the game admittedly, but I didn’t notice you could do this. Good call.

It does not beat about the bush and is straight up XCOM with Grey Knights.
Although the melee critical hit mechanic is one that could have been fun in XCOM if it had a bigger melee focus, being able to permanently disarm foes, or stun them or even execute them sometimes with a single attack is very cool and feels

That seems a bit much. It is still actually a good game. I think people keep forgetting that part of equation even though we all used to agree on this when it launched. Lack of content after launch is definitely a thing to complain about but people are starting to act like this is the MCC botched launch + initial

You know Jason Staten reportedly went into that meeting with Xbox in 2020 and told them that if they gave him a year he could turn it around was this what Xbox wanted or are 343 just genuinely this fucking terrible at reading a room?

With a username that includes an allusion to one of the greatest pieces of American literature, you would think that you would be better at reading, inferencing, and, perhaps most concerning, comprehending the points explicitly made by an author.

Exactly, adults who enjoy anything outside of their designated age range is frankly weird and creepy.

The Russian public, where there are “too many” people who are still asking questions about what their soldiers are dying for.

I know I’m not going to blow anyone’s mind with this crazy twist, but turns out our good buddy Paresh here barely posts and last time they did it was because they had dOnE tHeIr OwN rEsEaRcH on the Covid vaccines and had come to some pretty fascinating conclusions

It’s extremely easy to write about why those games are fun, Paresh.

Found the kool aid drinker.
