It’s nice, but I feel it takes some of the unknowns out of the equation. I can see why people like that, but not truly knowing what your opponent is capable of seems like a good thing to me.

It does not beat about the bush and is straight up XCOM with Grey Knights.
Although the melee critical hit mechanic is one that could have been fun in XCOM if it had a bigger melee focus, being able to permanently disarm foes, or stun them or even execute them sometimes with a single attack is very cool and feels…
