You would think so. Progressive ideas, but knows what levers to pull to make them happen. Old enough to be experienced, yet at the same time young enough to have a reasonable chance of surviving a couple of terms in office.

Thanks. I nuked the duplicate.

I went out for Chinese food a couple of weeks back, and apparently I was their only customer for the whole lunch hour. At the time, It never occurred to me that coronavirus paranoia might be a factor.

How long now before the conservative press decides to equate bacon egg and cheese with socialism?

In the rest of the world, American cheese isn’t even legally cheese.

In the rest of the world, American cheese isn’t even legally cheese.

Seven Days in May is still a highly relevant film.

This is why I like to periodically quote Niven’s Law:

On the contrary, I think it’s exactly the right make. This is geared toward the sort of people who are worried that recycling will turn them gay, and an electric vehicle might make them look less “manly”.   If weaning people off fossil fuels is an actual good, and this is not just about showing off our enlightened

It’s still possible to be environmentally friendlier

All of which reinforces my point.

As I understand it,  it’s hard to get people who want to do farm work, and it keeps getting harder, so anything that reduces the number of warm bodies that you need would be very welcome.

Not to mention that, depending on conditions, you’re not going to get that 250-300 miles. As has been mentioned elsewhere, drive some place cold, and put on the heater, and the range stars taking a big hit. If you want to tow something, like people have been known to do with trucks, that will also cut down your range.

The answer is simple. It’s not a toy, and it’s not a real car. It’s a model.  As has been pointed out elsewhere in the thread, there are modelmakers who are fanatical enough to duplicate all the working features.

The Mercedes-fuel 300SL also had a mechanical fuel injection, and if you want to be pedantic, all diesels are fuel injected.

Not this specific model, but any Japanese compacts of any sort from this era.

Oh yes, the theory definitely doesn’t hold up in the real world.

They used to be everywhere, but seeing one of those on the street now is catching a glimpse of a unicorn.   A little rusty unicorn.

It’s been my experience that they don’t even let that hold them back.
