Are you by any chance familiar with Sturgeon’s Law?  Basically, most movies of any kind are trash.

Kind of disappointed, really.  I’m sure their hearts are in the right place, but really, they should be backing someone who has a reasonable chance of surviving the job.

Basically, juvenile delinquents in the ancient times were doing stupid things with spotlights, and the blunt instrument use to ban spotlights also covered useful innovations like self levelling headlights.  I believe the rationale against glazed headlight covers was something about interfering with the output of the

Basically, back when spotlights on cars were a still a thing, people were doing stupid stuff with them, like shining them at oncoming drivers. So laws were passed to ban them. Unfortunately the wording of the laws also applied to lights you could aim with a steering wheel.

Chemicals like dihydrogen monoxide, no less.

Even if we are talking about a glorified helicopter, “flying car” is still a useful term to describe it’s function, just like “horseless carriage” was a useful description in the early days of the automobile.

And you know that if she showed up in a Mao suit and a buzzcut, then tongues would wag about how she isn’t looking up to the standards of this serious and dignified institution.

I think the choice is simple. Questions of ideology aside, Bernie is just too damn old to take on the job.

It might be doable. The Reactor showcar was based on a DS chassis with a turbocharged Corvair engine.

Especially since GenX wank fests are what’s hot.

You know the faithful are going to try and spin things any way they can.  Remember the Democratic primaries before the 2008 election?  If you supported Barack Obama, it was because you were a misogynist, and if you supported Hilary, it was because you were a racist.

“Robot” toy vehicles are certainly nothing new, and we’ve already seen any number of interactive robot pets. A toy robot truck would certainly have potential as a promotional item, and I’m sure collectors would go for it.

Yes, what you apply those skills to is also important.

Personally, I think her “wonkishness” is one of her best qualities. It’s al well and good to have ideas, but you’re going to need someone with political skills to make them a reality.

I agree. Pierre Trudeau (Justin’s dad) was quite simply, an asshole. He was the smartest person in the room, and he made sure people knew it, but he knew his stuff.
