A retro design that is an improvement on the original.  Granted, it wasn’t a high bar to clear.

Poor Enzo.  If only all these experts were around back then to set him straight.

It’s the retro styled New Rover.

I suppose it depends on how long they’ve been in business. There’s been a lot of talk about how easy it is to take over a modern cargo ship, and a lot of that is because until recently, they thought they didn’t have to deal with pirates anymore. I can see space settlements being caught unawares the first few times

It’s like nobody with any sense of decency wants to admit to being a Republican.

The thing is, for lightbulbs at least, do we really need to impose laws. CFL and LED bulbs are not a sacrifice. Far from it, most rational people would think a bulb that uses less electricity and you change less often are benefits. How much arm twisting do you really have to do? Nobody had to legislate flat screen

Hnestly, I couldn’t care less about the Batman connection. I’m sold on the 60s Avengers vibe (the British Avengers, not the Marvel heroes) set in a United Kingdom that is clearly not the one in our reality.

Look at it this way.  If you were to lend your car to a friend, they would have to have a driver’s license.

I’m starting to think that some people have confused being an atheist with being a vampire. Trust me, you’re not going to burst into flame if someone says “Jesus” or “Allah”, or even “Odin” at you.

So her solution is, “Have you tried not having a hurricane?”

It’s cute that you think that.

Don’t worry, you’ll be just as annoying at that age too.

So, when are you going to drive one?

You know when you make a claim like “the most basic”, somebody has to be That Guy:

You’re not wrong, and a lot of it is because those old Jaguars were a tough act to follow. William Lyons seemed to have a gift for designs where everything is just right. Every line was just where it was supposed to be, and even when they didn’t follow the latest fashion, they never looked out of place. It says

Oh, this has nothing to do with any perceived goodness of capitalism. It means that you should support the workers no matter how you swing ideologically, and one way or another, the workers are going to have their demands met.  It’s up to the capitalists to decide if they want to be a part of it.   Bismarck was right

There is one other rear engine, FWD car. The Taylor Aerocar.

To be fair, “Jumped up toy commercial” pretty much describes the entire Star Wars franchise.

To be fair, this in only if something goes wrong, and it’s far more warning than most industries give.

It’s a tribute to the genius of Bill Mitchell that GM could even make a RV look good back then.
