I don’t really know much about the series but there is a very big difference between dark and scary. Getting chased by a killer is scary, children being kept prisoner by a pedophile is dark. As far as I know the story so far is about the ghosts of children killed by a psychopath, you can get darker than that.

No yeah, I’m with you. If on average RPG’s have a 1-1 ratio (with fetch quests being much shorter), Inquisitions had 1-4. I think I was okay with it just because I stopped thinking of them as quests and more or way-points for exploring.
