OR, you know, the judge could’ve acted like a mature, logical human being and decided the case on its own merits objectively instead of allowing petty courtroom theatrics into his ruling.

Then it needs to be illegal to leave a car unlocked with the keys in it. Or to have a chain saw in your shed. Or a lawn mower. Or a shovel, a kid might get it and hit another kid with it.

I think this judge here is right. Every morning when it’s cold, all the thieves wake up excited about running around in the freezing cold looking for idling cars. It really is reaching epidemic levels here in Utah. They are calling it “snowygate”

You really think if a white, male doctor had been randomly selected, and stated “I can’t miss this flight, I’m a doctor, I have patients to see in the morning,” he still would have been draged from the plane?

That passenger said that he was a doctor and had a patient to see in the morning. Since most doctors don’t normally fly out of town to see just one patient. We should assume that it was a bit more important than, the employees that they could have put on a bus.

He didn’t “violently resist” a goddamn thing. He was sitting in the seat for which he’d paid and hadn’t taken any other action- violent or otherwise. Violence was visited upon him.

What isn’t legit about this is the computer doesn’t really “randomly” select people. The airline will give priority to Elite Status members, Business Travelers flyer under their companies preferred carrier agreement, and people on expensive fares. (i.e. the guy who bought the $800 last minute fare isn’t going to get…

I understand what you are saying here, and yes, this is probably the optimal play.....but its in the heat of the moment, as just like the guy who gets picked to leave not being happy, I am sure the 3 dudes who took the guy off the plane weren’t probably in the Christmas spirit when they decided to yank him off a plane…
