Not sure how Tesla Model S and X sales declining are a bad sign for Model 3. I suspect that it’s actually a sign that people are holding on to buy the Model 3 instead of buying the other 2... which is probably a good sign for the Model 3, not bad.

There’s something you missed - the #1 reason you daily drive a race/track car is so that you can keep on top of maintenance and it also helps you know the car. I race in the 2kcup here in NZ and daily’d my car for months before actually racing it, and as it’s a 20yr old Integra with less than ideal maintenance…
Was helping a friend take his PT Cruiser to the mechanic as the gear shift linkage at the bottom of the manual transmission gear lever had broken. I managed to get the car to be able to use 1st to 3rd, but warned him that if he used 4th or 5th the linkage would come apart again... so in rush hour Auckland traffic we…
The screen can be a whole lot bigger than the mirror is - I understand that with the centre mirror, but honestly, I don’t move my head around that much when driving. I’m belted into the seat, so only limited front and back, and no side to side... I have tried moving around when parking etc. but it just gives me a sore…
I think if you could move the camera on it’s stalk similar to how you move the mirror now, it would overcome that problem. The other thing is that having a smaller camera (which can easily be shielded from rain) outside, and the screen inside the car, you actually end up with BETTER visibility when you come to jump in…
Even the GSR/VTIR is an impressive car for it’s time, and cheap enough to buy and use just for the track. Strip out all the excess weight, put some good tyres on and it’s just amazing. It’s not comfortable and annoying on long drives, but that is not why you buy this car.
We race all manner of these here in NZ - look up some of the 2kcup videos on YouTube :) It’s a big mess of 90's Japanese cars which we got really cheap due to no import duties.
I’m starting to think the problem might be the driver. Have had several Hondas with no engine problems :)
Yep, and the challenge with the cooling systems will be their integration into the vehicle body as much as anything - is there liquid cooling, what is the form factor of the battery, and where are the air/liquid input/outputs in relation to the car bits.
Now we understand why he’s so concerned with lowering the cost of spaceflight!
Can’t wait for someone from this series to go to F1 and turn left at the first right hand corner cos they didn’t know race cars could turn right :) (Nah just kidding - but still a good idea to swap between different series)
Wow, so ugly! Also, he was all over the place with the steering wheel! Looked to me like he was fighting it every corner, and even on the straights he seemed to be moving the steering wheel an awful lot, where it felt like the lap was green screened and they just had some kid in a helmet pretending to drive - so…
You’re 100% right, but will still be 100% dead if they freak out and shoot you. I’m not sure it’s always worth being right, if you end up dead.
Seriously, can we lose the swearing in the titles. Since when has this been acceptable??? Boss etc. don’t mind me browsing the net at work, but seeing big bold swearing on things is a bit much for them, not to mention it’s not acceptable in professional media.
When did having swearing in the titles become acceptable? Seriously - not everyone uses foul language, and it just removes all credibility from the post. Edit: Also, clickbait much?
What kind of idiot takes it to the police though? I mean sure, it’s not easy to get rid of it -and at around $500k/bar it would be quite a bit to get rid of... but I would have bought a safe and hidden that somewhere safe first... Not sure if there’s gold prospecting in the UK, but I know here in NZ one can pan rivers…
South Africa was way ahead of this:
Do Haas know their name means Rabbit in Afrikaans I wonder?
Exactly, that’s why Robb Holland said suspension setup for the ‘ring is generally SOFTER than for road use.
Similar to my thoughts on Trump haha. Edit: Should mention I’m in NZ, so don’t really care - it’s more the fallout on all our media.
